The Grande Prairie Storm are proud to announce that 2002 F and team captain Ty Toews has committed to the University of Windsor for the 2023-2024 season. Congratulations Ty!
“Ty’s character and skill combined makes him a natural fit for our Lancer culture,” said Windsor coach Hamlin. “We are extremely pleased to add someone who already plays and acts like a Lancer.”
Storm GM Mark Bomersback said, “Ty bled the Storm colours. He was a great representation of what we expect and hope to see of a Storm player at the rink and in and around the community. We wish him all the best in Windsor and his future endeavours.”
Toews played his entire junior career with the Storm, his hometown team. He served as captain his last season. The team will miss Ty’s leadership on and off the ice and will be cheering him on as he takes the next step in his hockey career.
